Difference Between the Free and the Commerical Versions

The trial version of the control is fully functional, but comes with only one skin and displays a trial bar at the top of each page.

Disclaimer About the Appearance Under Different Browsers

RibbonBar.XML has been styled using CSS3 approaches - no-image gradients (the only image used for a skin is the arrow image in the split buttons), rounded corners, dropshadows, etc.

Except for the gradients (achieved via the proprietary CSS -ms-filter), the rest are not supported by Internet Explorer 7 and 8, and this is why the tabs, menus and the start button do not have rounded corners. However, in Internet Explorer 9 the looks will be as with the other browsers, as Microsoft has implemented nearly all CSS3 features.

The implementation of CSS gradients differers among browsers - for example Opera does not support CSS gradients yet, and Google Chrome and Apple Safari render CSS dropshadows in a different manner than Mozilla FireFox, etc.

Supported Browsers
